These are the very last pages made for scrap à la fraise' project "livre altere". I am very proud to present them - maybe I'm the only one who DID finish the book.
This page is totally inspired by Donna Downeys "inspiration wednesday". I love to check her site for new ideas. I used some real tags with texture to make the background. Great fun!
" There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in..."
This spread is made with a background à la Tam at Willowing ,where I joined a free workshop this autumn. A lot of colouring and a LOT OF "brayering"... can't understand how I could survive without a brayer before I started using it!
I tried the "drippage" with my glazes - maybe just a little bit too glossy... The text is made out of my sons keybord - he got a new one from Santa and I just could NOT throw it away.
" WELCOME 2011 "
So here I am welcoming year 2011, looking forward to a new project - another altered book.
Jaine will start the first of january and everybody can join us. Please check her blog for further information.
So, now I will finish the cover on my book. Any ideas out there?
Take care!

the shortest day
And so the shortest day came, and the year died
And everywhere down the centuries of the snow-white world
Came people singing, dancing,
To drive the dark away.
They lighted candles in the winter trees;
They hung their homes with evergreen;
They burned beseeching fires all night long
To keep the year alive.
And when the new year's sunshine blazed awake
They shouted, revelling.
Through all the frosty ages you can hear them
Echoing behind us - listen!
All the long echoes, sing the same delight,
This Shortest Day,
As promise wakens in the sleeping land:
They carol, feast, give thanks,
And dearly love their friends,
And hope for peace.
And now so do we, here, now,
This year and every year.
Welcome Yule!

"Snowflakes" for wednesdaystampers
The next parcel goes to Denmark. The christmas cards are painted with acrylics. The background is stamped with a stamp from Panduro aswell as the text " god jul" = " merry christmas". The stamps for the tags are from Stampotique and Crafty individuals.
I decorated the cards with some snowflakestickers and I hope that will be enough to join wednesdaystampers challenge "snowflakes".
Beautiful snowflakes outside aswell...

consigne 21 for scrap a la fraise "fabric"
Jaine wanted us to do a page with fabric and my mind got stuck... couldn't think of anything with fabric!
BUT this evening I got stuck in the basement ( ...meeting called of because of weather conditions...) and sitting there I was waiting for our daughter to get home. She was stuck in town and the trafic didn't move at all.
SO I made this page for her - the image might be a bit dramatic , but I like the colours.
BUT she still isn't home...
it will be a looooong night waiting...
Wish you all a good night!

"heavenly creatures" for wednesdaystampers
This is my entry for wednesdaystampers theme "heavenly creatures".
... ever heard of Mamma Muh, the cow who doesn't accept to be ONLY a cow?
" I don't want to chew and stare all the time, only because I'm a cow", she says.
I always loved the stories, and the pictures in these childrenbooks are amazing.
So, for me , my heavenly creature this week is a cow dancing ballett - refusing to give up, always trying new things ( like biking, skating, swimming...),exploring, not accepting that there are things a cow normally doesn't do or like.
I made the background with stamps ( Kesi art, Laundry Line) , Neocolors and acrylics.
The wings for my heavenly creature were made with the cuttlebug (Tim Holtz' heart). The crown/hat/flower was pimped with some bling and the words down to the left is a rubb-on 100% fille = 100% girl.
Love my cow!

" pointy hats" for wednesdaystampers
At wednesdaystampers this weeks theme is "pointy hats" so I made another journal page to join the challange.
I only had one stamp with a pointy hat, so of course I had to use it (Zettiology).
The other hat was made out of christmas stamps ( Panduro ).
The background is painted with watercolour, stamped with punchinella, collaged and gessoed over to get the misty effect.
The other stamps are from the sheet "correspondence" and " Gustav Klimt " from Cherry Pie Art Stamps.
I wish you all a nice week and a crispy 1. advent. Luxemburg is expecting snow and I'm looking forward to it ( as long as the roads are free, snow is great!).

WS Asia
The wednesdaystampers would like to see some ideas about Asia this week. I made this collage as my entry.
The background is made of masking tape. I painted it with acrylics and walnut ink and covered it with torn paper from a chinese newspaper. The photo is from Tuscan rose.
I used stamps from Personal images(oriental collage) and Hampion art stamps. The ribbon is bought at a craft fair in Germany, but i don't remember the name of the shop...
Hope you like it and have a good week!

Scrap a la fraise, consigné 19
This is my page for scrap a la fraises consigné 19. We should use an envelope, flowers and different brads.
I made this page to honour my mother. We always try to hide away and get the last evening sun as we chat about everything during the summer holidays. I adore the colour of the barn - a typical house colour in Sweden. It is called "faluröd".
I used my new foamstamps with acrylics and some masking tape aswell.

At studio L3< the CCC #21 is to make a perfect distress according to Tim Holtz' book " Compendium of curiosities" page 38.
I did my tag using Rangers forest moss, bundled sage, black sot and faded jeans.
The perfect pearls used are blue patina and gold.
The stamps are from Tim Holtz' "purely random" and "take flights".
It was hard shooting the photo because of the perfect pearls, but I suppose I will not be the only one with that problem this week...
Thank you for stopping by!
Wish you all a great and creative week!

week 2 at art, heart & healing
This is the first spread of my altered book for the workshop art heart& healing.
I had problems making the transfers as I always used to much glue. This is the best one and even if it's not good, I had to stop myself and just use it...
The journaling is in swedish and now I really like it. I think I am getting a little more brave now - trying new techniques to find my own style...
The page is about what we would wish for ourselves.
(... frosty winterdays with crispy snow, lovely holidays, freedom, love, friendship, long walks in the autumn forest, happiness, family, health...)

a bird for scrappy accents
I just love birds right now - in Wiesbaden last week I ended up buying not less than 4 birdstamps... and at scrappy accents the theme the next 2 weeks is BIRDS. I didn't use my stamps at all - instead I made a bird out of callico, ghesso and wire and stamped it with letters and a paperartsy swirl.
Great fun!

L3 industrial grunge
This is the card I made for studio L3 this week. As you can see on the picture below, I got the inspiration from the lovely autumn colours we enjoy right now.
I followed the instructions on p. 54 from Tim Holtz' book " a compendium of curiosities", and I really like that technique.
Happy fall to you all out there!

I'm getting there - only one more to do and I will have caught up with the other ladies. Consigné 14 should be a page with real tickets and grommets. I forgot the brads though. The page is made with tissuepaper and watercolours.
Picture is from our holidays in Australia 2008, as I thought the colours fit that continent...

this years first Halloween-tag
I had the ladies around last friday - everyone doing their own project. I wanted to try my new distressed embossing powders, so I made this little tag for Halloween - just trying to keep it simple - not even adding a ribbon....
This is the first time that I join the creative inspirations challenge, where the theme, this week, is Halloween.
Hope you all like it!

Faces for wednesdaystampers
Ever heard of Poul Pava? Here you see some of his napkins torn into pieces, because of the lovely faces he has made in this gorgeous, childish style... Love his creations!
This week wednesdaystampers would like to see our creations using faces.
I made another journal page, using faces from Poul Pava, using stamps from Cherry Pie Art Stamps, a die cut frame from Sizzix, a Tuscan Rose male face and some water colours.
I really enjoyed this one, ladies!

Cupcake for scrappy accents and a fragment charm for studio L3
As my youngest daughter had tummy-ache and had to stay at home from school, I made her this little tag to cheer her up (she loves baking cupcakes!!!). The theme at scrappy accents this time is cupcakes so that did fit very well. AND at Studio L3, Linda wants us to try out page 64 in Tim Holtz book "Compendium of curiosities" - this is week 17("CCC #17.").So I made fragment charm with another cupcake to join that challenge aswell.
The stamp is from American Art Stamps and the little cupcake is from (believe it or not!) Ikea!
Hope you all stay well without any tummybugs!!!

Family on holiday-book 2010
This is a booklet I bought as a kit from lilith in the springtime. I simply adore how she puts different medias together and makes it look so beautiful. It's the second kit I buy from her so I know what I'm talking about!
So I saved it and took it with me on holiday. Sitting there sewing and stitching in the shade of a tree as we came back from the beach - loved it! Coming home, I put in some pictures and the " family on holiday-book" was finished.
Now Lilith has opened a little shop and if you are interested you check it out.
I'm sure I will do the same next year...
... and to be honest - it was like opening a parcel at christmas when I started.

My dear friend Jaine took over and restarted a crafty site called "scrappy accents". Here everybody with a creative mind, may join and share crafty experiences. This month the "theme" is "ice cream" , so I made an ATC with to children slicking icecream in the hot summersun (stamp - Tim Holtz)and put the word "childhood" on the card. Holidays in les Landes
Some photos from our last holidays in France - les Landes.
A friend of mine bought a house there a couple of years ago. Now she has finished the decorations and I simply fell in love! Look at all these things! Of course , you find Ikea stuff in between, but all the other stuff is found in small shops and on "marches" in the region.
Can you hear the ocean...
AND... this is it! I will definately loose at least 5 kg before christmas - otherwise no pudding for me!
School starts next week and so does my "regime".
In the end the summer didn't turn out to be so bad. Friends and party are important too ! So, ok autumn, you may come!
