StampARTic challenge april "dies"

Hejsan / Hallo! This is my entry to the april challenge at StampARTic.
I have" loads of "  (some!) dies at home - a very nice collection, but nothing compared to friends of mine!
Scrapping , for me, is a kind of recycling as well. I love putting old stuff together and hopefully the end effect is the outcome I was looking for...:-)
Here, I started with an old button and added dies to the arrangement...
 I used the distressed doily die (Tim Holtz alterations), the Lovebird (Sizzix) and the layered Wings (Tim Holtz). The stamp is from the swedish company Reprint.

Happy 2nd birthday SODAlicious!

a postcard for SDC no 144

This week the Stampotique Designers Challenge is about making a postcard - of course only using Stampotique stamps...

I went through my old and new stamps and found these goodies ; the lovely Midge by Janet Klein and the Bla bla bla by Penney-Torrente.

The background is embossed through a stencil . Colours - dylusion inks.

I found the text on Pinterest , where I also found these words - ; That quiet place inside her, was getting louder and louder.. 

I do believe it is important to find a quiet place and just BE once in a while.

HURT for the Q&L challenge

Another journal page for the Quote&Lyric challenge at the craft barn. I chose the word "hurt" and went with the quote  "It hurts to let go, but sometimes it hurts even more to hold on..."

I used one of my favorite stamps from Stampotique together with some of my favorite stamps from my good friend Jaine (she designs stamps for Sarah Hurley).

Other items to mention ;
Ledger stencil, arrow  stencil, colours from Faber Castell and distress inks.

Happy Easter!

Lets put it like this - VERY much inspred by the wonderful artist Kimbely Santiago, I made this very simple collage and I loved every minute... SO MUCH FUN!

Strolling around in small Purkersdorf ( a village next to Vienna), I more or less stumbled into this small store called Kreativ. The first thing that caught my eye was this book by Kimberly Santiago called "Collage playground - a fresh attempt to creating mixed media art" - super! Love it!
No fear, just go for it and have fun!
That`s what I did.

April showers for SDC

Not many mushrooms in april, but normally a lot of rain. This year Luxemburg didn`t have much rain in april, but it might come... ( and I needed an umbrella for the bumblebees so the mushroom had to do...)...AND the farmers would like some nice april showers!

This page doesn`t need many words( - hope you like it!) - it is my entry to the no 143 SDC april showers.

Stampotoque Designers Challenge no 142 ( use pen and paint)

Sorry for the flash here (makes it difficult to read the words "be proud of your heart").
Lovely Magda invites us all to join the challenge at SDC by using at least one stampotique stamp and to work with a pen and paint.
I used my posca white and zig kuretake (wink of stella). The background text is one of these wonderful children quotes - this one says " if you need to fix a broken heart, friends make the best glue...!"
To show the friends helping, I used the new (for me anyway) hand stamp from Daniel Torrente.
The paints used are distress stains and dylusion inks and the frame is my favorite from SODAlicious.

I have spent some days in bed with a flue, so I am happy to feel the creativity coming back again.

Our Caribbean holiday recorded in the SODAlbum

Caribbean - lots of beautiful islands - an explosion of colours, music, people and nature!

This time I allowed myself to use neon colours to match the SODApapers.

I stiched plastic pockets to save the different maps from each island.

Back home , I added the stamping and other embellishments:

A great size of  album to bring when you travel.

 

 

 

 

 

Our Caribbean trip was13/12 - 28/12 2013. Cruising was really pleasant - I hope it wasn`t the last time for us. On a big ship like that , you have a great time daytime exploring the islands and in the evening with all the people on board - loved it!
