A birthdaycard for SDC 344.

Most people today have to stay at home. I think it is very hard not to have my usual liberty.
But , on the other hand it is nice to get more crafty time. Saying that, I feel so worried about my loved ones and therefor it is hard to even concentrate on being crafty. As if the spirit doesn`t join in.

I made this card thinking of my daughter stuck in wonderful New Zealand. Everything is closed and they (daughter and boyfriend) are desperate to find a place where they can spend the next couple of weeks until the worst part of the pandemic is over.
She will even celebrate her birthday down there
.
And then I have my parents in beautiful Sweden. Almost the one and only country that HAS NOT shut down schools and social living because they believe in another solution. I DO hope that my parents ( and of course all the other elderly and people at risk) will survive this act.

Anyway  - Stampotique has a new theme again - this time it is all about Birthday.

So this card is for our lovely Emilie in NZ (just somewhere outside Christchurch) , for my mom turning 81 in Sweden and for my father in law in Denmark turning 99 next month.

Stamp used = tree topper.

Wish you all the very best!

Lena

  1. I'm so sorry your family is so spread out and where your parents are they aren't taking action. Here in the US its state by state which is stupid. They are still letting spring break go on in party states, so ow all those kids are starting to return home to bring it back to everyone. Ugg I wish our country would get it together and mandate everyone social distance... not just some places. Then people need to follow that... I too worry about my mom and stepdad, as well as my inlaws. My poor hubby is so stressed. My mother in law works in the hospital so he's extra worried for her. I finally got laid off a week and 1/2 ago, and am so Thankful (I'm a dental hygienist- in people's mouths is the last place I want to be right now)... it was so scary everyday.

Anyway I absolutely love your beautiful card! I love the washi accents you added! Your daughter will love it!!!! Thank you for joining us in the Stampotique challenge

    1. Sooo happy for your lovely comment. It did touch my heart that you took time to read what I wrote and understanding how I feel. Thank you! I normally work with small kids ans love it. I am happy that I dont have to work in a hospital today will all that fear and stress. On the other hand they DO DO something and that is nagging me. Would prefer to be active instead of sitting around waiting. Our daughter did find a holiday park where she can ride the storm out and wait so she now "safe". Thank you once again for your lovely Respons. Wishing you and your family the very best! Corona free kisses from a sunny Luxemburg! Lena
