less stress - positiv and grateful!

MANY years ago, we (Jaine and I) went to a weekend with different workshops arranged by "ScrapbookWerkstatt" in Germany.

One of the nice people we met there was Amy Tangerine, who held a workshop using her own booklet and papers. Looking through my stash I found it again and decided to fill out the missing pages.

This is todays page - totally happy and looking ahead.

It is a wonderful feeling when it looks good using "old" stuff.

Made my day!

Friendship

 ...well,well,well...

One of my dear friends, Katherine, is just SOOO good making/designing cards, using dies , stamps and beautiful papers.

She joins a lot of different weekly challenges and she is really amazing.

I have had a break from the paper world and now I feel that I miss it. So when Katherine showed me a card for Dream Factory with the theme "friendship", I felt the urge to join in.

This page/card is shows my feeling about true friendship; just DO whatever feels good for your soul!

"thinking if you"

Today it is fathers day on Sweden - the first one without my father alive.

This card is for him - thinking of you - not only today.
I didn`t think I would have you in my mind as often as I do. We have been separated for years but now I feel you closer to me than in a very long time. Maybe because there are no borders between us anymore?
I feel your presens every day. In a happy way. 💓

This card is made with watercolors, NeobolorsII , a die from Kesi`art (paraplui) , a stamp from Stampotique (candle) and the text from Ali Edwards.
I join the challenge at Simonsaysstamp where the theme this week is Thinking of you.

Wishing you a lovely sunday!

Late summer turned into early autumn...

Suddenly the colors around us turn into orange and red and the sky here today is ever so blue.

The  air is crispy and everybody is in a good mood. Beautiful autumn!

The colors in my tagbook change as well - still a lot of brown and pale green but the blue and red start to dominate.

Take care out there!

a card with patterned paper

Another challenge at Simon say stamp - this time about using patterned paper.
I used papers from Echo park, a stamp from Kesi art , some washi tape and a die from technique tuesday.

Have a nice week out there!

scrapping time

Long time, no time for fun in my "scrap office". But today - here I am - listening to Amy Winehouse, Christina Perry and Moulin Rouge...  So singing along and scrapping at the same time , I had a lovely Sunday afternoon inside.

Hugs!

... old christmas cards-> inchies-> journal page

Great idea from the Artful Times. "Make inchies out of your received Christmas cards".

And so I did;

This is one of the pages in my December Daily 2014 - always happy to use some of the great stuff I get this time of the year! Beautiful wrapping paper, gorgeous cards, silky ribbon... you name it!!!

This page is made with a sizzix (657247) Reindeer w/Antlers, an inch punch, beautiful bakers twine, my posca pens and stamps from Technique Tuesday.

... and yes, I ought to tell you that I still haven`t finished my December daily - I work on it until I `m satisfied and I have used all the left overs on my table...

Happy 2015!

CAS for the Artful Times

Being scared of the future - feeling insecure by not knowing what comes next...?

Our son now has to decide what to do with his life, our eldest daughter is in the same situation and our youngest daughter is about to change school to change her education...! All these worries.

See the changes as opportunities instead  - it is easy to say, I know, but I do wish all those youngsters out there the very, very best !

This is the card I made for Artful times where the theme is CAS (clean and simple).

The little bird is NOT the latest Dina Wakley one - I found it in a little shop in Flensburg 2 weeks ago and of course I fell in love. No brand - just beautiful...

( I painted a glossy card with panpastels, then cut it to fit the size of the card. The bird was stamped on watercolor paper and painted with neocolors. The splatter is drawing ink - just to keep it all together..)

Happy Saturday !

my "waiting for spring" - book

Front page/cover with a peek through window.

I started this book at our mixed media mini marathon with Mosaikscrappers  .
I really loved it from the beginning to the bitter sweet end...

Förväntan=expectant
Girls at the frozen sea, watching canadian geese landing.
att lapa sol - enjoy the warmth of the first sun
the best place to be at 7 in the morning

beautiful swedish barn with a waiting birch
paperbag with tag inside, best place to have lunch

all together
still hangin' in here, still waiting

                                                         ...and finally - springs arrival!

Stamps; Tim Holtz, Stampotique, Felicitas Klink, Technique tuesday and Christy Tomlinson.
All papers used are from Glitz design.

I feel happy USING stuff instead of hoarding stuff. Love this little project!

Wish you all a wonderful week!

orange, white and brown...

This is the tag I've made for the artful times.

I suppose I'm still in a halloween mood as this turned out to be a bit spooky.

The background is painted with gesso to get a texture and then with black panpastel. When it was dry I emossed with Rangers seafoam white using a crackle stamp from the swedish company YOU DO.
Tree and rings were cut out with the cuttlebug.
The gate is metal work from Prima marketing and the stamps are from technique tuesdays' Ali Edwards.

I decorated it with some facet adhesive stones and stickles and ended it all with orange bakers twine.

Have a nice sunday!

March , calendar card "yellow, white and green".

... and this is the 3rd and last one for today - The Craft Barns' calendar challenge 3 - march.

I'm using all my new stuff from the mega event at Scrapbook Werkstatt last weekend. I feel very lucky that I am able to use my left hand even though I have to keep my shoulder in one position. I don't feel much pain either...

Before the mega event and before going to hospital, I prepared some backgrounds so I could keep up with the different activities in the blog world. So great to have internet when I'm not allowed to leave the house!!!

Once more.... - happy Sunday!
