Calendar card no 9
And here it is - the 9th calendar card for the craft barn. This week the theme is a colour combination with white, teal and rust; I have to admit that my rusty colour is more orange than rusty, but I did add some barn door distress ink to get it more rusty...
The stamps are from unity stamp(brick wall), Kaiser Craft (checker plate), Felicitas Klink and Elles studio...
...and the little fellow in the heart is a "tin pin" from october afternoon.
Wish you all the best!

SPARKLE for crafty individuals.
Sparkle is the word at the crafty individuals this month.
I used a background stamp and the angel stamp from CI and then added modelling paste through a Huey's mask (stars). The colours are all PanPastel.
I'm not sure if it's possible to see, but I did add some Ranger stickles in gold as well as 3 small stars from Kars.
In the end I finished a small tag in the same style and decorated it all with the orange bakers twine.
So, let them stars shine!

Christmas gift roundup
Today is the last day to enter Kuretakes challenge about christmas gifts and wrapping.
I just finished these 4 paperbags, one for each sunday of advent, and I did use my ZIG embossing pen and 4 different ZIG wink of stella.
I our family the children are in that age when money is always needed so I fill the bags with some homemade choclate AND money - and I'm sure they will love it wrapped in like this.
Happy I finished them just in time for the Kuretake deadline!
Take care out there!

A colorcombo for AJC
Here we go again!
I feel so happy! Everything seems to be just fine at the moment so I have decided to feel happy from the head down to my toes and I entend to stay like this as long as I can - instead of taking everything for granted...
I made this page , using the colours from Art Journal Café.
I used different masks and stencils to build up layers, and in between I painted with inks and gesso.
The only stamp used is a "brick wall" from Unity stamp. The lettres are from 3 different alphabets( tiding up à la Donna Downey...) and the embellishments are found articles + a Tim Holtz die cut (sizzix). And then, of course, the washi tapes.
Hope you like it!
Wish you all happiness ...

My august card for the craft barn.
This week the challenge from the craft barn is "children or cute".
I made my card as cute as I could using paper from nikkivils "my lil' monster". No stamps today! Weird - I love my stamps!

NATURE for stampotique
I made this tag to join the challenge at Stampotique designers challenge. The theme is nature.
Right now our beautiful country Luxemburg is grey and humid. I look forward to the first snow. Can you smell when the first snow is about to fall? I love the clean, white landscape when all the old leaves and the dirt is covered.
I used only stampotique stamps and die cuts from sizzix.
...can you smell the silence..?

THIS IS IT for SODAlicious
Using SODAlicious' stencils, stamps and cards, I made this entry to SODAlicious' 14th challenge.

My Africa for AJJ
Africa!
We went to South Africa a couple of years ago - wonderful place!
This spread is about what I remember from that trip. A collage of memories.
Hope you like it!
Stamps from Artemio and tuscan rose. This spread is made for the monthly challenge at Art Journal Journey.

a fabric tag for the artful times!
This is my fabric tag for artful times.
I went through my patchwork fabric box and made a kind of collage with different bits and pieces. This will be my husbands next travel/suitcase tag. It is far easier to find the suitcase at the airport if you have a different tag - most suitcases look alike I think...
I stamped with " Weltbummler" stamps from Stephanie Berger.
Glad to get the dust of my sewing machine again!

Cambodia souvenirs
Cambodia is a beautiful country with very friendly and polite people. A country trying to rise out of poverty, still suffering from the war of the red kmer. A country wich could need some help.
I would just like to show you something that I found was a great idea;
Souvenirs made of old cement bags. I bought some and I really use my bag every day - still like the very first day! So, no bad quality and looking great!
Please go and check what else they have made out of these bags - I don't know how expensive the shipping is, or even how long it takes go get the stuff home. I just know that it took our postcards almost 4 weeks to get to Europe. Maybe to late for this christmas, but still worth checking for another time.
Info - my shoulder bag costed me approx. 4 USD.
Angkor recycled. Handmade in Cambodia.

Good luck!

My junk style book à la Janna Werner and Felicitas Klink
Finally I finished it and I'm really happy with the project.
I mostly used stamps from Felicitas Klink, but also stamps from SODAlicious and l'encre et l'image.
The photos are all from last holiday, as my daughter and I ended up in a fishtank in Siam Reap in Cambodia.
We had a gorgeous time, but it was very hard to keep the feet in the water as they were eating dead skin from our feet. That's why I call it "making friends - feeding friends".
Great evening at the night market!
Cambodia rocks!

Calendar card no 7
This is my 7th calendar card for the craft barns weekly challenge. The theme this week is "candles" - difficult for me!
The only thing I could think of was my old "chandelier" - a sizzix die.
I used patterned paper, gesso, stamps from l'encre et l'images, a calendar card from fancy pants, some dotty ribbon and small stars.
Happy tuesday!

the whatevers no 5
May I proudly present Tram No 38 going from The Vienna City ring to Dornbach 17th district and back again!
Helmut was very proud this very first day at work! NOTHING would happen to this wonderful wagon as long as he was in charge. Sitting there in that front seat, high above the pedestrians, made him feel kind of important and if somebody didn't see him he would promptly pull the string and the clock sound would start. He enjoyed seeing how the people jumped aside by the sound, as well as he loved the children running after and trying to catch up with the wagon, as it started going after each stop.
So this was a very important day in Helmuts' life, as he stood there whith his collegue posing for the photografers....
This is my 5th entry to Nathalie Kalbachs' exciting story telling called "the whatevers". Great fun!
To join in or just to get more information , you can check it out here.
The background is made with different stencils and masks as well as gesso and texture paste and later coloured with dylusion and disteress inks.
The stamps are from My Stamp Box and Kesi' art stamps. I doodled some strings and added this gorgeous washi tape from Scrapbook Werkstatt.
I wish you all a great, sunny start of the weekend!

...and suddenly the sun came back!
I take many walks these days, as I'm not allowed to work because of an OP in my shoulder. I love my "Juckelsbesch" and the forest there. My little phone might not be the best one, but I love the retro style photos I can make with it.
After rain comes sun, and so it did!
Not only weather wise - my mojo was "hurt" too. Today though, I could finish the blogbanner, thanks to Jaine and that really made my day!
Wish you all a lot of sunshine!

Calendar card no 6 - june.
The 6th card for the challenge at the craft barn.
I used patterned paper bits, gesso, calendar card, felt, dylusion spray inks and the cuttlebug (spooky fence+flower with heart and stem).
The weather here is grey, grey, grey and wet, wet, wet... not a nice monday! It can only get better!
Wish you a nice and crafty day!

orange, white and brown...
This is the tag I've made for the artful times.
I suppose I'm still in a halloween mood as this turned out to be a bit spooky.
The background is painted with gesso to get a texture and then with black panpastel. When it was dry I emossed with Rangers seafoam white using a crackle stamp from the swedish company YOU DO.
Tree and rings were cut out with the cuttlebug.
The gate is metal work from Prima marketing and the stamps are from technique tuesdays' Ali Edwards.
I decorated it with some facet adhesive stones and stickles and ended it all with orange bakers twine.
Have a nice sunday!

This is my calendar card with paper tape for the 5th challenge at the craft barn.
