" scrap a la fraise" workshop with "lilith"

After a stupid week with a lot of stupid things happening, I really enjoyed going to a workshop with "lilith" from "scrap a la fraise" to alter a book. We used almost everything; scraps of fabric, scraps of paper, beads, thread, metall, wire, old hinges, felt.... Loved getting into the scrap feeling again...
My fathers birthday is coming up so I took the opportunity to honour him the whole day yesterday - the result you see here!

MAPS for wednesdaystampers

Background ; alcohol inks and Tim Holtz' stamp como13 (sorry, hard to see the map but it IS there!)
The boys are from a stamp I once bought from crafty individuals without checking the size - it is really tiny!
AND the mapsticker was a gift from dear Katherine, who brought it home from Australia one christmas.
Thanks for looking!

a "journal box" for my mother in law

This is an idea from the scandinavian scrappers Stampartic. I made it for my mother in law for her birthday this coming sunday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CILI!

Inside the box you have some 220-250 questions about her life.

The person who gets the box takes the questions, one by one, glues them into the little book and answeres them. This can take months but can be a nice thing to do for elderly people who have all the time in the world. And for them it can be a good thing to try to remember aswell. To answer the question " how was your very best christmas?" isn't easy. First you have to try to remember ALL christmases and then chose one and try to describe why it was the best one...

I'm sure Cili will love it!

Zettiology

Zettiology! I thought we were talking stamps so I decided not to join the challenge ( because I still don't have those stamps!). But then I thought that I would like to try and make my own zettiology and I started to watch the wonderful tutorials that WS recommended - and I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT STYLE!!!
Wednesday I said NO, thursday I started thinking, friday I continued thinking and started scanning my old patchwork fabrics into black and white paper and now I've spent the whole evening in the basement...
Hope you all like it!
Enjoy your weekend!

My husband in the kitchen!

A couple of weeks ago my dear husband started to show an interest in cooking and he is getting better and better. I really enjoy this!
Here is his receipt on a WONDERFUL veggie risotto;

Ingr.
1 onion
olivoil
150 g rice
100 ml white wine
300ml veg. stock
50 g parmesan
butter, salt and pepper
different vegetables like zucchini, cucumber, tomato...

Cut the onion in small pieces and fry it in the oil. Add the vegetables( cut in small pieces). Now you add the rice and let it fry just a minute.
Poor in the white wine and let the rice absorbe it. Now you add the stock little by little until the rice is cooked.
Add the parmesan with the butter, salt and pepper.
Enjoy!

Tickets for GA

This arch is made out of the fabric "calligo". I put some silver scotch underneath the fabric and diamond shaped cuttlebug embossing folder did the rest ( another tutorial from Jaine the other week...). To keep the diamond theme , I cut the plane tickets to Australia into diamond shapes. The "old" tickets are made with the cuttlebug aswell and they were cut out of old tickets too and then stamped with my dear friend Jaine's new stamp from "fusion art stamp".
This was a funny challenge!

Lord Frederick Leighton for gothic arches

Another lovely walk in the rainy autumn forest - and believe it or not, the greyhounds were there again!
Is it true that a greyhound is the most stupid dog alive?

To be honest - I never heard of this chap before. But when I look at his paintings, I have to admit that I like what I see and for me, he seemed to like women...'
So , what did I do...?
I used stamps from Panduro, Inque and Paperbag studios.
Thanks for looking!
