l'encre et l'image été 2012
This is my very first time to join a layout/sketch.
Because I am a great admirer of Françoise Melzani, I do follow her blog for inspiration. Here, she showed this sketch, made by herself for a challenge at l'encre et l'image. I thought that I should give it a try and here I am right now.
I enjoyed it and I DO love those stamps.
I used the stamps from l'encre et l'image that I had, and I do wish to get some more...
Other stamps used ;
Sodalicious
Limited edition
Background paper ; Echo Park.
Die cuts ; Métaliks from Kesi' art.
Wish you all a nice start of the new week!

The whatevers no 2
Hello again!
We sure had some nice days in Denmark. Now we are all back to work ( even girlies earning money in their school holidays) and today was the first day with "me time" in my basement. Didn't think I would ever be happy for rainy days, but a thunderstorm came in over Luxemburg yesterday and this saturday is very wet.
My dear husband took me to town where he bought me a birthday present (VERY nice!) and we went to our favorite indian restaurant for lunch. GREAT!
This is the story and the page to my no 2 page for the whatevers...
Mathilda married quit late in life. Her husband was a lovely man, some years older than her and she really loved him. She loved her children and enjoyed life. The only thing she missed was some "quality time"with her girlfriends. Their children were so much older than Mathildas children and she was really longing for to get as much "time off" as they had.
And now THIS happened...
...
...
...
I used my own technique for the background, using baby wipes, dylusion colours and a lot of layers.
The stamps are from my minds eye, inkadinkado, basic grey clear stamps and paperartsy.
See you soon again - it might rain tomorrow too!!!
Hugs
Lena

Scrapping the music!
This is my scrap page for scrapping the music. The music is provided by Tyrone Wells and his song "Freedom".
I simply fell in love with the music! Great tune, superb rythm and lovely lyrics...
I shot this picture at work. This little boy, so fragile and depending.
Being a parent can be hard work. And THEN? We keep being parents , but we are not allowed to get involved anymore. We keep worrying, asking questions and coming with our "good" suggestions. It is very hard to let go...
.... so open up your hands - no more holding on...
I truthfully wish all the parents of teenagers good luck!
Beautiful song, mr Tyrone Wells!

Summer with magazines!
Rain over the grand duche of Luxemburg! And we are heading for a family day with outside games... I wonder how wet we will get!
This is my summer spread for Art Journal Journey.
At the same time I would like to join the the Art Journal Café with this entry, where the theme is "using magazines".
Creating this journal spread I've used gesso, a norwegian magazine, dylusion ink sprays with a mask, sizzix letters and stamps from Toga.
Hope the rain will stop soon!
Wish you all a great sunday!

Sweden in june - nothing can beat it!!!
In the beginning of June , we went to Sweden with some friends. This chap - the swedish moose - might not be the most beautiful, but still a one of a kind. |
They just had calves - even 3 of them! Compared to the mothers - they really look cute!
The whole country is in flower - just waiting for midsummer to arrive...
In Kosta Boda our friends could try to blow crystal glass - very exciting. A very old work of art - suffering a lot from the finanse crisis right now though...
And just look at this! Have you ever seen a more beautiful shelf? I could feel it talking to me - so many stories to be told. So much history! Love, love, love it!
And this last picture of my great friend and her husband. I hadn't spoken to her in at least 10 years. I phone and YES she takes her time and YES her husband takes his time and YES they show us the whole glass industry of Kosta Boda. AND they are still together after so many years! Great people - love them from the truth of my heart!
Wish them all the best and I hope that some of you out there would show some interest in this art work. Glass blowing! Kosta Boda
Love.
