something "new"

Something new for the new year.

A collage loaded with new, upcoming plants between the pale cloud/hills.
At simonsaysstamp the theme this week is a new start so this is my contribution.

Happy sunday!

"Shit happens..."

...well... sometimes life is pretty tough, but somehow we all have to continue. We can`t just lay down and give up - `cause life does go on!

I made this canvas using my lovely leaf blueprint given to me by my friend Katherine. It was really nice to spend some time crafting again.

Wish you all a nice and colorful October!

"Stoff" für Creavil

I made this canvas a couple of month ago and I do like it a lot...
It was made at a workshop in Luxemburg with Nathalie Kalbach. I tried to follow her ways of "doing it" and I used the lovely foam stamps from Donna Downey. As I still haven't shown it here on my blog, I thought I could use the canvas as an entry to Creavils fortnightly challenge - this time STOFF=fabric. Where 's the fabric somebody might ask ... check the background...!

Wish you all a lovely weekend!

Stars for PanPastel

Late, but not too late!

This is the canvas I've been working on lately and with this, I enter the challenge at Pan Pastel. I tried to build up an almost "fluffy, ice-creamy" background and the stars are, of course(!), Panpastel on modelling paste through  a stencil.

Wish you all avery nice wekkend!

old things out / new things in

What a weird thing - totally crazy and I love it!

At the Stampotique designers challenge Claire would like to know what we could use of old stuff together with new stuff (that might have arrived with Santa some days ago...!)...

Here is my contribution - an "old" ( but still adorable) stamp from Stampotique, "old" stars from Jo Copper Sandon (Stampotique) and "old" colours (PanPastel+acrylics +Dylusion inks)...

combined with...

NEW ribbon, NEW buttons, NEW masks and NEW ice cream color combination!!!

Hope you like it - it felt great to get started again!

Bring it on - 2013!

Happy friday!

Halloween canvas.

I didn't find anything spooky to decorate my house with, so I had to create it myself.
This canvas took a long time to finish as it had to dry between the layers. It might not be the very best creation, but it'll do for now.

I used stamps from CI, Tuscan rose and death by Klimt, the sizzix tree and raven and a lot of black gesso and acrylics. The photo is from a cemetery at Morro de Sao Paolo in Brazil.

I really enjoyed making this - Halloween may come!

So,  this is my entry to Creavils' Halloween challenge.

Nice to try something completely different!

a canvas for my parents

A couple of weeks ago our group at the mosaikscrappers had a workshop, where we started to work on canvases. This is my finished canvas with pictures of my parents grandchildren.
My mother always use to say that the grandchildren are the desserts(efterrätter) of life(liv). They are so sweet and beloved and they come in the "end" of life , just like the dessert after a nice meal.

canvas 2 and 3 for our next workshop

I cut out the circles with nestabilities and used funny photos of the children. So - yes - the nestabilites do cut through fabric...

The background is a la Donna Downey and I just love the structure. A simple and elegant layout, I would say...

2 more examples for our workshop tomorrow at the Mosaikscrappers. Will be a lot of fun - again!
