... old christmas cards-> inchies-> journal page
Great idea from the Artful Times. "Make inchies out of your received Christmas cards".
And so I did;
This is one of the pages in my December Daily 2014 - always happy to use some of the great stuff I get this time of the year! Beautiful wrapping paper, gorgeous cards, silky ribbon... you name it!!!
This page is made with a sizzix (657247) Reindeer w/Antlers, an inch punch, beautiful bakers twine, my posca pens and stamps from Technique Tuesday.
... and yes, I ought to tell you that I still haven`t finished my December daily - I work on it until I `m satisfied and I have used all the left overs on my table...
Happy 2015!
Lena

CAS for the Artful Times
Being scared of the future - feeling insecure by not knowing what comes next...?
Our son now has to decide what to do with his life, our eldest daughter is in the same situation and our youngest daughter is about to change school to change her education...! All these worries.
See the changes as opportunities instead - it is easy to say, I know, but I do wish all those youngsters out there the very, very best !
This is the card I made for Artful times where the theme is CAS (clean and simple).
The little bird is NOT the latest Dina Wakley one - I found it in a little shop in Flensburg 2 weeks ago and of course I fell in love. No brand - just beautiful...
( I painted a glossy card with panpastels, then cut it to fit the size of the card. The bird was stamped on watercolor paper and painted with neocolors. The splatter is drawing ink - just to keep it all together..)
Happy Saturday !

letter N and spooktacular
... well, well, well... never said my english was perfect!
Today , the letter N was chosen for the fortnightly dictionary challenge at the craft barn.
I started this page thinking "neon" until I realized that the english word must be fluo, like in french. SOOO - rethinking...
I found my gorgeous cherry pie art stamps and made the page into a spooky " NECROMANCY" entry. And because it is spooky, I may enter the challenge at artful times where the theme is "spooktacular".
Wish you all a colourful Halloween!

a distressed automne tag
My automne tag for Crafty Individuals (theme; automne colours) and Artful Times (theme; feeling distressed).
I used some stencils with modelling paste to get the textured background and then stamped with CI -203. The colours are disressed inks with a lot of gesso to get the right look.
Hope you like it!

Asia (happy new year!) for the artful times
This might seem weird, but hey hoh, here we go!
At the Artful Times they ask for an asian celebration - Happy New Year!
Last september , we went to Thailand and Cambodia - both wonderful places! What stunned me most though, was to stand at Anchor Wat , watching the old inscriptions and look at the paintings, then turn around and watch the people working in the fields just like they did 1000 years ago, according to the wall paintings I'd been looking at.
So this is my "celebration to the people of Cambodia" with the true words of Erich Fromm;
" Who will tell whether
one happy moment of love
or the breathing
or walking on a bright morning
and smelling the fresh air,
is not worth all the suffering
and efforts which life implies."
Happy New Year, Asia!
I wish you all a splendid week!
I go back to work tomorrow after having almost 4 months off, because of my OP in october last year - exciting and a little bit scary...
Take care!

a fabric tag for the artful times!
This is my fabric tag for artful times.
I went through my patchwork fabric box and made a kind of collage with different bits and pieces. This will be my husbands next travel/suitcase tag. It is far easier to find the suitcase at the airport if you have a different tag - most suitcases look alike I think...
I stamped with " Weltbummler" stamps from Stephanie Berger.
Glad to get the dust of my sewing machine again!

orange, white and brown...
This is the tag I've made for the artful times.
I suppose I'm still in a halloween mood as this turned out to be a bit spooky.
The background is painted with gesso to get a texture and then with black panpastel. When it was dry I emossed with Rangers seafoam white using a crackle stamp from the swedish company YOU DO.
Tree and rings were cut out with the cuttlebug.
The gate is metal work from Prima marketing and the stamps are from technique tuesdays' Ali Edwards.
I decorated it with some facet adhesive stones and stickles and ended it all with orange bakers twine.
Have a nice sunday!

My postcard for Artful times.
I made this card for the artful times. It is the first time that I join their challenge, and it seems to be a nice one. They would like to see postcards with letters or script.
Only 2 weeks away from our last holiday, I 'm still in the traveling mood - that's why I use the word "travel".
The background is made by cut out words from My Stamp Box and Kesi' art. After the layer of gesso I sprayed some dylusion inks through a stencil from the crafters workshop.
The letters are my "slim Jim"'s, cut out with the cuttlebug, and finally, the tag is a freebie from the magazine Scrap 365.
...and - i can't help myself to get away from those colors - blue, green and orange are still my very favorites..!
Luxemburg is wet, cold and very dark this tuesday evening. Autumn did arrive at last.
Happy crafty hours!
