the letter S for the craft barn

Not a lot of craft time lately, but I still would like to keep going and finishing the alpha-dictionary challenge at the craft barn , where this fortnights letter is the letter S .

I chose the word spool and used some alteration "stuff" from Sizzix, together with the lovely dylusion ink sprays.

making new friends - ASOI and SDC 126

Another art journal page for the monthly color challenge at the ASOI. I thought it was pretty hard to find the vanilla end the mushroom colours, and I was very happy when I finally succeeded.Other colours included in the challenge: robins egg blue and golden green.


The words are a nice reminder of this weekend - my husband went to Africa earlier this year and there he met some lovely people from Köln (Cologne). He wanted to keep in contact with them and invited them over. In the end we sure had some lovely time together and I do understand why my husband wanted me to meet these people. So , this page is for Lisa, Grete and Holger - "NEW PEOPLE - ENLARGING MY CIRCLE OF FRIENDS"...

...and because of the splatter and that lovely stampotique angel, I also enter the SDC challenge no 126 and hope that they like my splatter with the deep teal neocolorII and the distress stain!

another summer mini SODAlicious style

 This SODA mini will be sent to my parents in Sweden tomorrow.

 I made it "SODA" style as I still am NOT out of love with their cool stuff!!!

                            

Another  summer gone - I look forward to the next one to come and warm my legs!
But first we have to get into the christmas feeling.. I wonder when it will set in....

Freestyle cards for my friend

 My dear friend Jaine had this great idea - pls, go and check her blog for further information...

I made these cards with gesso, ink splatter, washi tapes, stamps from Heidi Swap and Amy Tangerine, Bakers twine, craft card, a mini mustache (sizzix alerations), a star, distress ink and distress marker.

the letter Q for the craft barn

Wow, suddenly the sun returned! Otherwise only rain, rain, rain...

This journal page made me happy - my letter Q for the craft barn. I could have chosen quadrat too , but having a quilting/patchwork history - I almost felt like "coming home"...:-)

I used stamps from Sodalicious and l`encre et l`ìmage and the alphabet set is from sizzix , called "Man, oh man"... (thanks Katherine!)

Having fun - AGAIN - with my new art journal...
This time joining the theme at Art Journal Journey - doors/Türen, and the challenge at Stampotique designers challenge - using gesso.

I used a lot of white gesso with the dylusion stencil and the black gesso making the cidcles.
Stamps from SODAlicious and Stampotique - wonderful combination...!

CHILL - an art journal page for ASOI

Through my dear friend Jaine, I heard about this challenge at "a sprinkle of imagination".

It is a color challenge and I gave it a go - and enjoyed it!

This is my very first page in my VERY NEW art journal ( an A4 Dylusion) and I just LOVE it!!!

I used stamps from Stampotique and Tracy Bautista , a dylusion stencil and different inks.
The chilling frog is a cut out from an ad.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

It is nice to have friends - and most of the time even useful (!). My good , old "craft buddy Jaine"  had a lovely parcel arriving from the UK the other day. I was allowed to try out some of her new treasures and ended up with this little house ( using sizzix birdshouse 658451 and cobweb blueprint 659371).

letter N and spooktacular

... well, well, well... never said my english was perfect!
Today , the letter N was chosen for the fortnightly dictionary challenge at the craft barn.
I started this page thinking "neon" until I realized that the english word must be fluo, like in french. SOOO - rethinking...
I found my gorgeous cherry pie art stamps and made the page into a spooky " NECROMANCY" entry. And because it is spooky, I may enter the challenge at artful times where the theme is "spooktacular".

mini album sommer 2013

 I found the idea to this little mini album here and then made it "my own" by turning it into a kind of star.

 You can chose to keep it in the star shape...

 ...or as an accordion .

And when you are tired of watching the nice pictures - you bind it together and put it aside.

This book is made out of papers from the swedish company Maja Design , called "skärgaardsliv - life by the sea".

....and then, of course A LOT of washitape.
