"trapped" for SODAlicious

"Trapped" is  a difficult challenge - I could only think of cages and terrified birds. But today, checking my stuff from SODAlicious, I could feel another sollution building up inside my head.
I used the "thank you for your order-card" and the alphabet, the stencil, chipboad and the stamps - all from SODAlicious.

So, this is my entry to SODAlicious' challenge no 22.

Circles and straight lines for the Artful Times

The Artful Times would like to see some circles and stripes this time.. I made this canvas, using washi tape, acrylics, modelling paste, felt stickers and this great quote by Laurence J. Peter;

" When in doubt or danger,
   run in circles, scream and shout."

the letter M(e) for the craft barn

This is my page for the new challenge over at the craft barn.
This time we should use the letter M and I chose the word "measure".
The background is layered acrylics and the stamps cherry pie art stamps, inkado, creavil, denim and infocrea. Otherwise I used felt letters and a lot of different washi tapes.

LOMO LOVE

Hello again!
Life is moving very fast right now and I have this weird feeling that I'm running, trying to breath and trying to keep up at the same time.
This little dog here is one of the reasons. He came to our family 2 weeks ago in the age of 6 months. Hard work because he is used to jump from one bin to the other, coming from dog slum at Teneriffe. And here we are - I'm just so much in love with this little life - we all are...
So this is my presentation of our familymember MUMIN!

The spread is my entry to SODAlicious art journal challenge lomo love. The little booklet is homemade out of sodalicious papers, cards, stencils, stamps ... I was happy to be able to join the challenge as I have got lomo on Picassa - otherwise no fun...:-)

Letter H

Hello again! Sunday and here we go...

This is my entry to the craft barns alpha challenge letter H.

Using the dylusion ink spray again. The "bleeding" heart is made with modelling paste and the small hearts are from Tim Holtz. The stamp is from My Stamp Box.

Sooo - my letter H = hearts.

Peace for Art Journal Journey

Finally I was able to finish my peace page for Art Journal Journey. I had so many ideas and it was very difficult to decide what to use.
I ended up using stamps from unitystamps, Tim Holtz and Paperartsy, stencils and wood veneers from Sodalicious and some rub-ons.

I used my homemade SODAlicious' booklet, journal card, wood veneers and stamps.

Colour technique for the Artful Times

Another tag - this one is for Celina - my sons girlfriend , who needs "elan" and "action" to finish her school this year.

This is my entry to the artful times challenge colour technique
 I used the stazon technique with stamps from " l'encre et l'image" and "cherry pie art stamps". Stazon colours are Pumpkin, Jet black and Vibrant Violet.

The metallic colour is a Faber Castell Pitt artist Pen.

White for Creavil

This is my art journal page in white for Creavils challenge .

I used my sizzix love bird and made a collage using the swedish word "våga"= to dare.

White is beautiful, cold and frosty....and still in so many shades!

Letter E for the craft barn challenge

Getting back to work after an almost 4 month break made me stressed. No crafty time and no me time. Today is the first time this week when I can allow myself to let go and enjoy my basement - juhu!

This page is for the the alpha challenge at the craft barn where the letter this fortnight is E.

I started of with the words evolution, evaluation ...and ended with education. Pleased that I finally would be able to use this gorgeous image of a teacher from de stempelwinkel, which I bought in Wiesbaden a year ago.
Other stamps used;
Unitystamps (Christy Tomlinson), My stamp box(border) and Crafty Individuals (dragonfly).
The background is made with dylusion ink sprays through SODAlicious stencils. And the of course, A LOT OF Washitape...

I had fun!

Asia (happy new year!) for the artful times

This might seem weird, but hey hoh, here we go!
At the Artful Times they ask for an asian celebration - Happy New Year!

Last september , we went to Thailand and Cambodia - both wonderful places! What stunned me most though, was to stand at Anchor Wat , watching the old inscriptions and look at the paintings, then turn around and watch the people working in the fields just like they did 1000 years ago, according to the wall paintings I'd been looking at.

So this is my "celebration to the people of Cambodia" with the true words of Erich Fromm;

" Who will tell whether
   one happy moment of love
   or the breathing
   or walking on a bright morning
   and smelling the fresh air,
   is not worth all the suffering
   and efforts which life implies."

Stars for PanPastel

Late, but not too late!

This is the canvas I've been working on lately and with this, I enter the challenge at Pan Pastel. I tried to build up an almost "fluffy, ice-creamy" background and the stars are, of course(!), Panpastel on modelling paste through  a stencil.
