My mixed media mini book "colours of brazil"

Last year my husband and I went to visit Brazil with aventuro do brasil and we had a wonderful time, both of us falling in love with the country, the people and their hospitality. To celebrate the colours, I just finished this mixed media mini book.



The idea came to me after reading an article in the french magazine "carnet du scrap". Sometimes they have some great ideas!



Right now I'm very much in love with the colors red, blue and white. But Brazil was a country with so many colors so I had to add some more.






So in the end the basic color here had to be the beige craft paper.

On Sat 10/3 our scrapgroup will have a whole day workshop creating more mixed media books. For more info you can check here.

FUN and ENJOY

After spending some days in a less happy mood, I decided to turn the wheel and start feeling positiv again. It doesn't help to be sad, but sometimes I feel it's necessary to allow myself to feel the sadness, do you understand what I mean?

Sooo,
carnaval, mardi gras, fasching, fuesend... the time when we are allowed to get a bit crazy...

I made this page to join Creavils challenge where the theme is "Kopfbekleidungen".

But I just realized that I can join the weekly challenge at PanPastel as I made the background using panpastels AND I put a cat on her head.

So here I am, trying to get back to the smiling me, joining 2 challenges with the same entry..

a late Valentine's day in Luxemburg

I have not been in a good mood lately. Lack of time, lack of spirit, lack of...everything...!

Just want to show you that Valentine's day exists in Luxemburg too - these are the hearts we made with the children at work. Pricking, painting and glueing.

I want the geese to fly over my head soon, I want the flowers to cover the ground in the forest, I want the smell of spring...!

I want... a lot of things. Writing this, the snow falls and it's really peaceful and beautiful , I better take a walk instead of blogging...

My february pages.

I finished this spread for the Kathryn Wheel Calendar a couple of days ago - just forgot to update the blog.... February in Luxemburg 2012 is freezing cold with a lot of crispy sunlight. I played around with PanPastel pale yellow , some orange for the sun and the rest in grey.

Glittering eyes for Panpastel

Since tuesday , I have this beautiful song from Christina Perri in my head. "Jar of hearts". Can't get it out of my mind... the words "you're gonna catch a cold from the eyes inside your soul".
So , this tag is made by me for Panpastel with that song in my head. The theme this week is glitter and glitz and the eyes are glimmering in the dark from inside her soul...

My tag for the craft barn and panpastel

I made this tag with the panpastel colours turquoise, permanent red and yellow ochre. I wanted to try to use triadic colours of the colour wheel and this is the result. So, with this tag , I can join 2 challenges this week :

Antoinettes birthdayparty

Yesterday we celebrated my collegue Antoinette, who is now leaving work to enjoy her pension.
We made one book out of old childrens books, were everybody had to finish one page. The other one is a circle book, one of Jaines creations and you can find the instructions here.



We had a wonderful evening together and dear Antoinette was very happy for her personal gifts!

a gear tag in pan pastel

This tag is made for panpastel and for creavil at the same time.

A couple of months ago, I bought these lovely panpastel colours and now I'm learning how to use them. I love the brightness and the soft shine.

The gears were embossed and painted aswell as the background. Really enjoying my cuttlebug at the moment!

The last pages in my "12 days of christmas"
