Hannas postcard swap autumn 2025

 Well, well, well... so far so good :)

I have now recieved 7 out of 10 postcards from the postcard swap organized by iHannas postcard swap. 

So far 6 from the States and 1 from Canada. All sooo different and wonderful! Looking forward to the last 3 ones to arrive..

An energy giver

Looking back - sooo many things happened in 2025 .

I feel lucky to have met Catrin Jacksties - she was our guide on our trip to Canada. 

She loves nature and colors , so this card is for her. A very special person with a strong connection to earth, water, trees and all in all NATURE. 

She would get energy by hugging a tree or watching the ocean. I can follow her way of thinking and "feeling" because I can feel this too. 

So here we are, just some days before Christmas and I feel grateful.

Christmas card -25

 A Christmas card doesn`t have to be red, green or even blue. My cards this year all turned out pastell. 

A change - yes, and I like it.

BUT - tradition is tradition - I just HAD to add some christmasy red. 

The words written are from an old Christmas song in swedish " nu har vi ljus, här i vart hus..." - something like "now we have candles/light in our house..."

And then , of course, I had to add some sewing. I found this wonderful thread in Creafil, a nice store here in Luxemburg. It has 2 colours - christmasy red and beige. Loved that combination! Perfect for framing my cards.

Hannas DIY Postcard Swap Autumn 2026

 Some years ago I joined  iHannas postcardswap and this year I decided to do so once again.

 

My postcards are ready to be sent and I hope someone will be happy to recieve one. 

It is nice to get an oldfashioned postcard in the letterbox...

I had fun making them and now I`m looking forward to get 10 handmade postcards in MY letterbox!

the finished scrap/junk book

 Some of the finished pages of the canadian booklet. 

A wonderful journey in a wonderful country with wonderful people.

I like to bind it all together, not using a "normal" book. I saved a lot of different items from the trip and then addad papers , stamps and washitape. I ´m happy*

Next project is sewing an advent calendar for our little grandchild - Greta.

My canadian Junk Journal

 Back from wonderful Canada! We spent 3 weeks travelling from the east to the west with a group of people. Everything organized by german company called world-insight. Not the easiest way to travel - you move every day, living in different hotels and always move around with your suitcase. But this way it is possible to see A LOT and really get to know the country...

I promised myself I would make a junk journal with photos and collected "stuff" (tickets, maps...) .

So - this is the start. It will take me many days to finish it.

Our son just turned 36 (!) and he likes weird things too, so this one is for him.

Nothing is life is perfect - me neither, neither my craft , nore my art - I like what I'm doing - enjoying the process.
