a Journal Page for ASOI

Hello again!
I sure had trouble with this one! LOVE the colour combo but where could I find the right ones...?

I ended up searching and looking through washi tapes, old papers, embellishmets and, and, and...

In the end I was happy with the page - stunned by that great posca pen - amazed how easy it was to write with it on black gesso ( I can`t remember how many black pens I`ve damaged by writing on white gesso!)

The colours are this months combo for the colour challenge at ASOI ( a sprinkle of imagination) , using ink black, sand, vivid green, slate blue and pale grey.

a tag for Craft Stamper

I haven`t made a tag in a long time and I felt like joining the challenge at the Craft Stamper Magazine. Tomorrow is the very last day for their 7th challenge...

I used stamps from the french company TampoManiak, distress inks, a sodalicious frame and a stencil from Ronda Palazzari.

The photo might not be the very best, but what can I do? It`s difficult to make a nice pic when the weather is like it was today -  dull and dark...

A snake page for AJJ

Many years ago, I bought a book about Chinese astrology . It was really fascinating to read about the different signs and try to find out who is what. I found myself being a snake. I didn`t like that fact, as I `m not very fond of those creatures. But after reading that book, I understood that a snake could have a quit charming character and qualities!

Nesting for instance! Making a lovely nest for the babies, trying to keep them all together and prefer to stay there with them as long as possible...

Our son is also a snake and he does the same as I do - nesting... Another thing a snake does, is to try to charm the surroundings so it may be left alone in its nest. An intelligent creature and many people say it is a beautiful too (I still don`t like the way it looks!).

Sooo, this is my entry to Art Journal Journey challenge Zodiac signs.

I used stamps from Artemio and Alladin together with stencils from Rona Palazzari and Dina Wakley.

Happy February! Today we had thousands of wild geese passing over our heads direction north - spring will get here - not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, but finally it will!

the word SILENCE , this time for Craft Barn

This spread is my entry for the Craft Barn`s Q&L Challenge which is Dazzle and/or Silence.

I used the lyrics from "Enjoy the silence" by Depeche Mode.

The whole spread is VERY much inspired by Dina Wakley - I feel that I need those colours right now - to warm me up in this cold and wet time of the year.

Stamps used; Stampotique, Zettiology, Hero art.

The new quote & lyric challenge at the craft barn

New year - new challenges. I enjoyed joining the dictionary challenge last year and it is nice to have "something to keep you going" - to  keep thinking in a creative way.

Craft barn started a new challenge called quote & lyric - this fortnight the words are "smile" and/or "up".
So here we are - my journal page including a quote with the word "up".

I used gesso and modelling paste with different stencils. The colours are my beloved neocolorsII  - the stamps are from Paperartsy (wings - plate 4), Christy Tomlinson (CT-944A) and Traci Bautista (T1005).

In the end I embellished the page with some washitape to add some contrast. The quote is from an old book -  wake up and be awesome!

My ombre page for the Craft Stamper

I was the lucky winner of the splatter technique, "take it, make it" challenge, in the craft stamper.

This month I don`t join the challenge, but I finished my ombrè page journal style.

I embossed the background with a sizzix embossing plate and then coloured the pages with distress inks. The stamps used are from Christy Tomlinson, Stampotique and Sodalicious.

The qoute  - " it`s important to make someone happy. Start with yourself. Today." Very important!

I`m using big cards , I cover them with gesso and let me get inspired month by month.
This is the cover and I try to get out of my comfort zone, using different colors than I normally would.
It makes me happy - trying new, new, new things ...

My blue page for the Artful Times

Today was the first day we could see the sun, since we came back from holidays. Then the rain set in again and we just have to make the best out of it. ( I spent time in my craft room...!)

I made this page for the Artful Times - theme "blue".
Blue is my very favorite color and I sure enjoyed all the stenciling here!
